Find a psychologist who is registered, affordable, and cares about you!

Linda Adams is an AHPRA registered psychologist:

I've worked in mental health since 1994 when I began my university studies. I have received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Diploma of Counselling, a Graduate Diploma of Adult Education, and a Post Graduate Diploma of Psychology.

I would describe myself as an 'eclectic' practitioner, which means that essentially I use a variety of different therapeutic approaches depending on what will benefit you the most.

I believe that each person is an individual, and as individuals we need to be supported in our own unique change process. But we are also affected by our environment and the people around us, our context.

I will do my best to work alongside you and to tailor my therapeutic approach to meet your specific individual and lifestyle needs. I value openness, authenticity, and acceptance in my work as a psychologist. I am a big believer in the power of the mind and I recognise that in many instances it is the activity within our minds that contributes to our psychological distress. To me, the brain is an amazing organ, I am passionate about learning how it functions and what we can do to improve it's functioning.

In my personal life I lived as a sole parent for a number of years before beginning a relationship in 2004 that has become the most loving and stable part of my life. I have one beautiful grown up son, a lovely daughter in law, and am proud to be a grandmother of two amazing little people."
